End User Licence Agreement

dfacto.ai grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Audiowire on up to the number of machines included in your tier: 3 for Standard, 5 for Pro. The Linux build is granted at no charge, requires no key, and is not counted against any allowance.

The licence is perpetual. It does not expire, it does not renew, and it keeps working if we stop publishing. Updates within a major version are included. A major-version upgrade is a separate optional purchase; declining it leaves your existing licence fully functional on the version it covers.

A key is verified offline on your own device: it carries its own signed claims — tier, machine allowance, issue date — and the application checks an Ed25519 signature against a public key compiled into the binary. No network request is made to validate it. Sharing a key beyond your machine allowance is a breach of this agreement. Format and reasoning: docs/licensing.md.

The trial is the complete application for 14 days — no watermark, no channel limit, no disabled features and no session timer. It requires no payment details. When it ends the paid platforms stop until a key is entered; nothing you configured is deleted.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the paid components except to the extent applicable law expressly permits; remove proprietary notices; or publish your licence key.

On macOS and Windows, Audiowire installs a system audio driver, which requires administrator approval once at install and once at uninstall. The driver is a component of the Software and is covered by this agreement. The uninstaller removes it; the repository documents how to remove it by hand if you would rather.

The repository is public and its crates currently declare MIT. The licence the shipped product goes out under has not been decided, and we will not describe Audiowire as open source until that decision is made and written down. Third-party components retain their own licences, listed in the repository.

The macOS driver was written from Apple’s public headers and Apple’s own sample drivers only. It is not derived from BlackHole or any other GPL-licensed driver, and that clean-room rule is written into CONTRIBUTING.md.

This licence ends if you breach it. On termination you must stop using the paid components and uninstall them.
